Ordering

A: You can order easily using our online platform. When you find a product you need, you can add it to cart, login and go through the ordering process. After the order is ready, you will receive order summary to your email. Order summary will also be stored to your account. You can also easily make reorders afterwards by clicking the “reorder” button on any of your previously made orders. After clicking the “reorder” button the cart will open and you can change quantities or products.

A: Each time you order, you'll receive an order confirmation email as soon as your order is placed. If you haven't received any email updates about your order, it is likely the emails were marked as spam. Some email providers may mark our emails as spam or completely block them. Be sure to check your spam folder for emails about your order and make sure to add EDSMARTPARTS to your safe list. While we aren't able to resend your email confirmation, you may check your Order Status or contact our Support team with your name and email address used to place the order and we can confirm the order for you.

You'll also receive a shipping notification when the shipment(s) in your order is shipped. If you haven't received your shipping confirmation email, it is possible your order hasn't shipped yet. Check the processing time for your order in the order confirmation email to determine when it should be sent out. Typically, it takes about 2 to 5 business days for your order to ship, but it may take longer during peak times, sales, and promos. If your order is past the stated processing time, contact our Support team and we can confirm the ship date for your order or see why your order is delayed.

A: You can easily check your order status on any recent or past orders. Checking your order status will require you to log in into your user account at the time of purchase.

A: These are the manufacturer model numbers within the smart car range:

Each number represents a particular model within the range with the first two both covering the fortwo but for different periods. 

• The 450 fortwo covers the vehicles produced from 1998 up to 2006.In 2002, Smart introduced a limited-edition variant of the City Cabrio, called the Crossblade. It was a very pure roadster version, without proper windscreen, nor roof or conventional doors, limiting its use. Its weight was still 740 kg. The Brabus-tuned engine developed 52 kW (71 PS) from its 599 cc engine. After Robbie Williams purchased Crossblade number 008, Smart began a marketing association with the British singer, using Williams to promote the brand.
• The 451 fortwo is the later fortwo model buld from 2007 up to 2013. 
• The 452 model is the smart roadster and smart roadster coupe produced from 2003 until 2005. 
• The 453 model is the smart fortwo or for forfour model produced from 2014 untill 2024
• The 454 model is the first generation smart forfour model produced from 2004 until 2006. 
• The #1, #3 and #5 models are the battery electric SUV models produced in China by smart automobile, a jointventure of Mercedes-Benz AG and Geely Holding Group.

In some instances there may have been a slight overrun/crossover period, particularly with the fortwo in 2007 where dealers were still selling off their old stock as well as selling their new stock. Within the 450 and 451 models there are various model variations where smart has tweaked/changed the car as it has evolved through the years. One significant change being to the 450 in 2003 when they changed from a 599cc to a 698cc engine; referred to as the facelift model. In addition, another facelift model was produced for the 451 model in 2010. Again a slight crossover exists so please be careful that you are ordering items for the correct model. 

If in doubt please email us your vin/chassis number when placing your order and ask us to check that the parts are correct for your particular model.

Where is my vin/chassis number?

On early 450 models you will find your vin number under the rear lip of the carpet in the boot/trunk area. On 451 & 453 models it is on the front windscreen (outside) in the bottom corner. In addition, it can also be found, along with the 452 & 454 models on the drivers door shut/vehicle frame
